What we collect
- Booking and inquiry details you give us: name, email address, phone number, number of guests, travel dates, messages, and arrival details.
- Payment details: card payments are handled by our booking platform, Lodgify, and its payment processor. We do not see or store full card numbers.
- Stay details: vehicle information if you use parking or the EV charging add-on, special requests, and any information needed to resolve issues during your stay.
- Website data: basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
How we use it
- To answer inquiries, take and manage bookings, and collect payment.
- To send stay information such as arrival instructions, house rules, and receipts.
- To keep the home and neighborhood safe and to enforce our Terms and House Rules.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, including Hawaii tax records.
- To improve our website and the guest experience.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
Who we share it with
We share only what is needed, with:
- Lodgify, our booking, website, and messaging platform, and its payment processor.
- The booking channel you used, if you booked through Airbnb, Booking.com, or VRBO. Those platforms have their own privacy policies.
- Service providers who help care for the home, such as cleaners or maintenance workers, limited to what they need, such as arrival and departure dates.
- Google services used on our site: reCAPTCHA to block spam on our inquiry form, and Google Maps on our location page.
- Government agencies or others when required by law, or when needed to protect safety or property.
Links to other sites
Our site links to other websites, such as a local massage therapist's booking page and Instagram. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.
How long we keep it
We keep booking, payment, and tax records for as long as tax and accounting laws require. We keep inquiries that do not become bookings only as long as they are useful for answering you, and then delete them. You can ask us to delete information we are not required to keep.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop receiving marketing emails. Email [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you live in a state with its own privacy law, you may have additional rights, and we will honor them where they apply.
Security
We use reputable platforms and limit who can access your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please contact us right away if you think something is wrong.
Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Children are welcome as guests when a parent or guardian makes the booking.
